Small Gifts with Large Impacts
Hi! Starting a new section on the site, plan on updating 2 to 3 times per month with personal reflections, thoughts, or inspiration from the lives and stories of others I talk to on my Journey.
For this week, so much going on for Christians - the Birth of a long awaited Savior. As I sat listening to the Christmas Eve Vigil readings my thoughts drifted to Jesus as a baby, Babies of course are totally dependent on others for everything. Yet God's plan was to send a Savior as a small baby, who would slowly grow and develop, and fully take on God's plan for him just at the right time. Reminded me that we all have daily struggles, pains, set backs. But as Pope Francis stated in his Christmas Day address, "where there is God there is Hope." God could have sent down an army of Angels to lead our Savior onto this Earth. Instead He chose a Manager, surrounded mostly by strangers, but in Peace and Joy Jesus came onto this Earth, because Mary and Joseph had strong enough Faith to see that God's hand was at work in their lives, even if they knew they could not fully understand that Plan. When feeling down or lost, remember God is there for you and that most of our struggles in life don't have a quick sudden fix. Small Gifts can lead to Life Changing Events! Peace, Tony
